Wedding Present

I completed my first vinyl project.  It is a usable personalized cutting board.  I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut the vinyl then applied the vinyl to the underside.  The cutting board is hand washable.

The Bride seemed to really like the cutting board.  Hope this inspires you.

First ATC

Hi All,  I am spending the weekend at the Steampunk Soiree in Herndon, VA.  One of the fun extras that you could choose to participate in was an ATC swap.  I have never done an ATC before, so I had to research how an ATC was done and what would be expected.  I was given great advice by several friends.  Second was to try to come up with something in the steampunk type theme.  Below is the ATC I created.  I completed 80.  One for everyone at the event.  I didn't want anyone to feel left out.  Looking forward to a fun event filled weekend.

All supplies used are from Fun stamper Journey.  Check out my Fun Stampers Journey Blog for more information.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by,

Wedding Shower Invites

Well I am sure some of you have wondered what I have been doing since my last blog post.  Well, I have been trying to perfect and finish some wedding shower invites for a family member.    It is a gatefold card, which has an insert behind the gate that lifts up to allow for the information under the insert.  The card and the inserts were cut on the Silhouette Cameo.  I came up with the design in my head.  I checked all my Cricut carts and the machines and the carts I had just wouldn't do what I wanted.  I pulled out my Ecraft, and after fighting with that machine for several days and wasting a lot of paper I knew I had to break down and get a Cameo.  With the number I had to complete I knew I couldn't get them done in time by hand.  I ordered my machine from Cindy at  I had my machine in my hands in 2 days from time of order.  Fabulous customer service.  So I want to share with you what I came up with.

Hope you enjoy your weekend.

Make your own Embellishments with WOW Melt-it

Hi everyone,
Sorry it has been so long between posts.  Life has been getting in the way lately.  I wanted to share with you a tutorial on a new product in the USA.  It is called WOW Melt-It.  It is an awesome product.  It allows you to use a little embossing powder mixed with the Melt-It powder to make you own embellishments or even Jewelry.

Melt-It Embossing Powder Tutorial

Melt-It is a new unique product by WOW Embossing.  It allows you to use your embossing powders in a melting pot.  Pour the melted embossing powders in molds and create wonderful embellishments, or jewelry.

Pre heat your melting pot to the UTEE setting.

Use a 2:1 ratio.  Two scoops of Melt-It powder to one scoop of embossing powder.   You can also mix embossing colors to make a new color.  You will want to put these scoops of powder in a dish and stir it up.  The mixture needs to be well mixed before melting for best results.

Pour the mixture in the melting pot and let melt completely.  I found it easiest to use the melting pot liners to melt the mixture on in the pot.  This allows you to lift the liner out to pour the mixture in the molds.  Stir while melting to continue to mix colors evenly.
Pour the molten powder into molds of your choice.  I used the WOW Embossing molds.  These molds are also food safe, so they could be used for cake decorating or candy making.

Let it sit for a few minutes and pop out your embellishments.  One of the nice things about this technique is, if the embellishment didn’t turn out the way you like you can re-melt it.  Just toss the embellishment back into the melting pot and let it re-melt.  You can do this as many times as you like.

You now have your embellishments ready for you project.  I found there is a little bit of a learning curve to this.  I re-melted my results a lot, before I had one I liked.

Products used:

Spellbinders Shapeabilities D-Lites Wonderful Locket, Garden Bench, Flutters

Spellbinders Tool ‘n One And Tool ‘n One Foam (LOVE THESE PRODUCTS, They are amazing)

All products can be found at

I hope this tutorial inspires you to make your own embellishments.

Stamping Scrapping Spellbinders Blog Hop.

Hi All,
I am honored to be asked to join the Stamping Scrapping Spellbinders Blog Hop.  I am presenting the Nobel Rectangle die set.  This set allows one to layer with a great deal of elegance with out a lot of work.  It also allows for great dimension.

I cut dies 6 & 4 in Mocha Divine Bazzill Cardstock.  Then I cut dies 5 & 3 from Ivory Bazzill cardstock.  Using foam tape and dimensionals I layered the different layers together.  Remember dies are numbered from the smallest being 1 to the largest.
The sentiment is from JustRite Get Well Labels Twenty stamped in Memento Luxe Rich Cocoa.  I embellished with pearls after the layering was finished.

Autumn Calls for Red and Copper

Cooler weather and Autumn bring new inspiration.  This card is totally inspired by the cooler weather and the coming leaves changing.  I cut the base layer out of the Spellbinders Card Creator Branching Out.  The second layer was cut using Card Creator 5 X 7 Matting Basics A.  A layer of Web Ribbon was placed horizontal then the, third and forth layer was cut again with the Card Creator Branching Out die set.  Another layer of the Web Ribbon ran over the third layer vertically. I cut the leaves and branches out for embellishments using the  Fall Foliage die set.  The sentiment is stamped from the JustRite A Day In The Country stamp set in Memento Luxe Rich Cocoa.

Navy and White Delicate Doilies

Hi Friends,  I am working with more of the new 2013 Summer CHA release dies.  This time I used The Delicate Doilies.  I love this die.  I have to admit this card came together as an accident.  When I first was cutting the die I thought I would get a beautiful doily all cut out. Well I didn't use the outline die I needed to make just the doily, so I ended up with the doily in the middle of a piece of cardstock.  Well I couldn't very well let this go to waste, so I came up with this card instead.  I cut the base and the second layer using Grand Classic Squares.  I turned the second layer half a turn to off set the second layer from the first.  Then I used another of the Grand Classic Square to center the doily and layered the doily on the second layer.  I used the smallest die from Fanciful Lattice die for matting layer of the sentiment.  The Sentiment layer is cut with Card Creator A2 Matting Basics B.  The sentiment and the edges are inked in Nautical Blue from Memento Luxe. The stamp is from JustRite Get well Labels Twenty.  This stamp set can be used for so many different occasions.

Spellbinders Majestic Elements Marvelous Squares

Well I know I haven't posted in a while, so I am going to work hard on getting everything up to date this weekend.  Then I will work hard to keep it up to date.

So, I purchased the wonderful Spellbinders Nestabilities Majestic Elements Marvelous Squares.  The package boast 20+ designs.  I wanted to find out exactly how many designs I could get from the die set.

I figured out all the combinations on paper then went to cutting.  See my configurations  and directions here:

I was able to get 42 combinations made out of one die set of 6 dies.

I am one of those that tend to use something more if I can see what it does, so these will go in the swatch book I am making.  The book will have all my punches and dies in it.
All the supplies I used came from
Thanks so much for stopping by.  Happy Crafting.
